Herbal Medicine for Colds and Flu: Creating a Naturally Healthy Winter

  • The Ecology Center San Juan Capistrano (map)

Join us for the third in our monthly workshop series: Self-Care Sundays!

This series will be led by Kelsey Barrett of Heavy Nettle, master herbalist and Southern California native. Each hand-ons workshop will take you on a journey through the garden, exploring seasonal herbalism and new elements of plant medicine that amplify the vitality and wellness of you and your family. Integrate age-old wisdom into your everyday practices, products, and life!

Runny noses, fevers, stuffy noses and chills... Colds and flus can put a damper on the season. Invigorate your home medicine chest by learning to hand craft preventative traditional medicinal preparations.

Together we start the day in the garden where you will harvest ingredients to increase your vitality and wellness in preparation for Fall season. Using garlic, onions, and fresh herbs you’ll make and take home fire cider and elderberry syrup. We’ll discuss preventative health care, natural and effective immune system support, and therapies for common seasonal illnesses.

Come drink warm tea, make medicine, and prepare for a naturally healthy cold and flu season.
